Michael Elkins

Michael Elkins is a director of AMI. Mr. Elkins joined Avenue in 2004 and is currently a Portfolio Manager of the Avenue U.S. Funds. In such capacity, Mr. Elkins is responsible for assisting with the direction of the investment activities of the Avenue U.S. Strategy.

Prior to joining Avenue, Mr. Elkins was a Portfolio Manager and Trader with ABP Investments US, Inc. (ABP). While at ABP, he was responsible for actively managing the firm’s U.S. high-yield and distressed investment strategy. Prior to ABP, Mr. Elkins served as a Portfolio Manager and Trader for UBK Asset Management, after joining the company as a High Yield Credit Analyst. Previously, Mr. Elkins was a Credit Analyst for both Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. and Smith Barney, Inc.

Mr. Elkins has served on the board of directors of Vertis Communication since October 2008, Milacron LLC since April 2009, and Magnachip Semiconductor LLC since November 2009. Mr. Elkins serves on the board of directors of each of these private companies in connection with a reorganization or refinancing involving affiliates of Avenue.
