AMERICAN MEDIA, INC. NAMES DANIEL ROTSTEIN EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION

Boca Raton, FL, January 10, 2011–AMI Chairman, President and CEO, David J. Pecker, announced today that Daniel Rotstein has been named Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Administration.

Mr. Rotstein served in the Human Resource Department of American Media, Inc. from 1994 to 2008 as Senior Vice President and will be rejoining the company in a full time capacity as Executive Vice President. Since 2008, Mr. Rotstein served in municipal government as the Director of Human Resources and Risk Management for the city of Pembroke Pines, FL while consulting for various clients including AMI. Mr. Rotstein has a very diverse skill set having held management positions in both the financial services and retail services industries.

“I’m delighted that we’re able to bring Daniel back in this capacity,” said Mr. Pecker. “He has a wealth of experience and a proven track-record here. With his deep understanding of our various properties and platforms, I believe Daniel will play a significant role in the future of AMI.”

Mr. Rotstein will report to Mr. Pecker effective January 17, 2011.
